Edito : This is the last newsletter for 2009! A few days before being in 2010, discover the new enhancements on the SVN version, on which we work hard in order to provide an e-commerce software increasingly stable and increasingly features rich!
We were also very pleased to learn that PrestaShop has integrated the Open Source e-commerce solutions World Top 10 (Internet.com / ecommerce-guide.com - USA).

PrestaShop in the Open Source e-commerce solutions World Top 10!

Internet.com and ecommerce-guide.com (USA) published yesterday their 2009 world ranking of Open-Source e-commerce solutions.

Based on the results of researches made each month through the web, aimed to calculate the number of indexed pages for each e-commerce solution, this ranking sees PrestaShop entering directly to the seventh place!

PrestaShop is the most recently published software studied for this classification, and it experienced the greatest growth, gaining five places in one year.

Note: Internet.com is the main source of information and practical advice in the United States for developers and IT professionals.

About the development - modifications on the SVN version

Discover below the list of the (numerous!) modifications made this week on the SVN version of PrestaShop:

Added tags and search index for the Spanish language
Added missing translations in some modules
Fixed display of tax on invoices (3 digits after the decimal point to 2)
Taking into account the weight unit defined by default in the Back Office in the attributes generator system
Added new hooks in the back office: "backOfficeHeader", "backOfficeTop" and "backOfficeFooter"
Fixed a bug in the Back Office CSS (Catalog> Tags)
Fixed a bug in "PayPal API”
Improvement on the module “CanonicalURL " install
Possibility to limit some carriers to groups of customers
Fixed a bug in the "getByEmail" method of the Customer class
Fixed a bug in "Product already seen", which featured just a product instead of two when the user was not logged
Change the duration of coupons generated (from 6 months to 1 year)
Correction of the weight calculation for an article using declinations
Deleted a problem during the cancellation of all products of a command (generated a "Hack Attempt")
SQL optimization: added new indexes in the database
Fixed a bug encountered during the generation of backup files from the database, (problem with the "null" value)
Fixed “birthdaypresent” module and changed the validity of coupons to 1 month
Deleted an error in an SQL query in the catalog statistics
Added in the installer a SQL query to clean the database while updating
Fixed a bug in the RSS module

Please note: news recommendations for .htaccess and robot.txt files, change the CHMOD from 777 to 666.
